BERLIN HOLIDAYS

THE LANGUAGE CAMP FOR CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS

BERLIN HOLIDAYS

THE LANGUAGE CAMP FOR CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS

1 to 3 weeks during the school breaks

12–17 years old

children from different countries

the boarding houses on campus

up to 10 pupils

intensive German courses, 25 classes per week (45 minute sessions)

The best way to learn a language is live communication with native speakers. The language camp in the International Lomonosov school provides a natural language environment. Children are motivated to communicate actively in German by doing projects together and taking part in leisure time activities.

The program of a one- to three-week stay in Berlin includes intensive German courses followed by an opportunity to take a language test and get an internationally recognized certificate:

  • German course according to the language level (A1 – C1)
  • Preparation for tests
  • Getting to know the German educational system

The pupils are taught by our dedicated teachers, using advanced teaching methods and materials.
Not only do the teachers hold the classes and communicate with the children in German, but also introduce German culture and traditions to the children.

The key objective of the language camp course – to teach the children to communicate in German and give them as much practice as possible. We teach all aspects of a language: listening comprehension, vocabulary, reading & writing, grammar, but we mostly focus on teaching the children to use this knowledge in real every-day communication!

Amenities
  • Beautiful historic school building, fully renovated in 2018, nestled in the heart of a picturesque, end of the 19 th century architectural park ensemble
  • Modern class rooms, computer center with free Internet and WI-FI, spacious rooms for studying and playing
  • Well cared schoolyard-garden
  • Playground

Staff

Creative and considerate teachers and counselors are taking care of the children. An experienced camp coordinator is always there by the childrens’ side too. The children as well as their parents or guardians can fully rely on the group leader and the teachers, refer to them with any question and solve any issue.

Accommodation

Participants of the language camp live in the boarding houses close to the school, in the green, quiet and safe Marzahn-Bisdorf district of Berlin. Spacious single and twin rooms boast modern conveniences, all rooms are with shower/WC.

Meals

Four meals a day are provided for the language camp participants. The school canteen serves a good choice of healthy and tasty, hot and cold meals, including vegetarian options. Any dietary requirements of the children are taken into consideration. During sightseeing tours the children are provided with packed lunches.
